Late in 2015, Jimmy’s Catering had been running for 4 years and each year we found ourselves growing as we became more known. We found ourselves outgrowing the local community centre hire kitchen which we hired for 2-3 days, at the start, then up to 7 as we grew more. With help from family & friends we began looking for a premise, even a shed to fit out.
We found the great cafe Warana, where we are today not even thinking about a shop front. Our main priority was getting the kitchen set up working. 6 months later we thought about putting in a coffee machine and opening for coffee.
We met with Tim Adams about his coffee and it began! I couldn’t just sell coffee so we turned it into a full café. 2 years in and we have created a space with amazing coffee and great food with a fresh menu that is always changing. Throw in a monthly 4 course dinner based around a feature ingredient that’s when we really show our passion for good food.
The staff at the café come with loads of experience, with my chef having been in the business for over 4 years and baristas having had over 4 years experience in similar roles.
